Why We Exist

For decades, the sailors and families of the U.S. Navy have served far from home in Japan. U.S. Navy League Tokyo was formed so that citizens, businesses, veterans, and community leaders could turn appreciation into concrete support — welcoming ships home, recognizing service, and building lasting bridges between two great maritime nations.

U.S. Navy League Tokyo supports programs, events, and initiatives that strengthen understanding, appreciation, and cooperation between the U.S. Navy, the maritime community, service members, families, supporters, and local partners in Japan. We help build relationships, support service members, recognize achievement, and create opportunities for community engagement.

Our Mission

To support U.S. Navy personnel and their families in Japan, and to strengthen the friendship, cooperation, and mutual respect that anchor the U.S.–Japan alliance.

Our Values

Service before self. Integrity in every relationship. Enduring friendship between our nations. Recognition of those who serve — and the families who serve alongside them.
